R-Tectural was founded by Ryan Watkins (B.Arch), who has developed his architectural knowledge over 10 years in the industry. Ryan started out at an AJ100 practice GRID architects where, after graduating from University of Portsmouth, he worked as an architectural assistant on several large scale residential projects in London.

Ryan then moved to off-site specialist architectural practices where he gained considerable experience designing and delivering residential, educational and commercial projects built in a variety of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). As he became more familiar with the offsite systems his clients used, Ryan expanded his understanding of the market enough to obtain senior roles at astudio architects and global practice HOK International, where he led residential projects at varying stages from concept to delivery as well as consulting and advising clients on the off-site/pre-fabrication market. 

Throughout his career, Ryan has developed a varied knowledge of architectural design principles which he is able to pair with a detailed understanding of construction systems and a sustainable approach, to offer a holistic skillset that can be applied to a variety of projects. 

Additionally Ryan has significant BIM modelling experience, not only in project work, but also in developing offsite systems where models must be completed to a higher degree of detail for the factories to have an efficient and accurate build process. He has also developed innovative smart parametric Revit families which are able to streamline the process between design and manufacturing.
